- The St George Pearls were inspired by the village of St. George Chios where there is a plethora of masticha trees. Chios is the only island where this tree grows and was highly treasured by the Turks during the island's occupation. The tear drops are cultivated which resemble little pearls.
- The second version with rose pearls are inspired by the red rocks of the village as well as many beautiful pink flora growing everywhere.
